Soil Preparation for New Sod
New sod needs a prepared foundation, not simply a layer of grass placed over uneven ground. We assess the existing soil, till and level the installation area, address grading and check sprinkler coverage before laying sod. The preparation plan is matched to the condition of your yard and included in the estimate.

Do you mow lawns?
No. We build lawns and fix what waters them. For weekly mowing you want a lawn care company. For a new lawn, sod removal, soil prep, sprinklers or a seasonal cleanup, you want us.
Can you replace a lawn with rock instead of new sod?
Yes. We take out the grass, put in drip for any plants, and lay rock or xeriscape in its place. That is a landscaping job, and it cuts the water bill for good.
Do you fix the sprinklers before laying sod?
Always. Sod laid over a broken or badly spaced system dies in patches. We test every area, fix or move heads, and set the timer before the first roll goes down.
When do you do yard cleanups?
Fall and spring are the busy times, but we clean up yards all year. Leaf blowing, tree and bush trimming, and taking out bushes and small trees you want gone.
